Cassandra & Andre’s Timeless Summer Garden Wedding

Real Wedding Spotlight: A timeless summer garden wedding full of once-in-a-lifetime moments.

There’s something special about summer weddings. The days are long, the nights are warm, and the whole world seems steeped in the nostalgia of days gone by. August 19th, 2022 was no different – a beautiful backdrop for a timeless garden wedding. The day, as with many summer weddings, started off cloudy, with a chance of rain. But the clouds softened the sunlight to provide the perfecting lighting for pictures, as evidenced by a shot of the bride appearing almost angelic as she got ready in The Gardens Suite. Loved ones gathered from near and far as the wedding party got ready to surround Andre and Cassandra with love.

Meanwhile, the wedding reception tent was busy being transformed into the reception space that dreams are made of. Soft pink linens paired perfectly with pastel greenery to create a charming, intimate space under the twinkle of café lights. Following fun photoshoots with the couple and their party, it was time for the ceremony to commence. The Lath House stood ready and waiting, the alter adorned with pink and white flowers to match. As the party filed down the aisle through soft white curtains, there was only one person left to arrive – the bride. Cassandra looked dazzling in her dress and stunning lace veil as she made her way down the aisle to Andre.

Following a heartfelt ceremony, it was time to celebrate! As guests settled under the wedding reception tent, the wedding party made fabulous grand entrances into the reception, setting the mood for the rest of the night. As eating, drinking, and dancing ensued, the couple sunk away for a quick golden hour photoshoot before returning to take to the dance floor. We invite you to scroll down and check out some highlights from Cassandra and Andre’s day…we know you’ll as in love with them as we are!

The Grindbygg Inspired Covered Pergola: An Impressive & Unique Wedding Guest Experience

This hand-crafted, modern rustic pergola adds industrial charm and functionality to your outdoor wedding experience.

The Grindbygg inspired covered pergola is a picture perfect spot for a gorgeous October wedding day. Andrea Dobbs Photography

I bet the first question you’re asking yourself is, “What is a Grindbygg?” We’re glad you asked! Grindbygg is a traditional post construction style originating in Norway between the 1500’s through the 1800’s. The idea to build a Grindbygg inspired covered pergola came from a timber frame installation workshop Glenn attended at North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN.

Glenn considers the structure to be inspired because instead of using the typical Grindbygg style of wood pegs he used large, galvanized lag bolts as the fasteners. Positioned near the entrance of the wedding reception patio, the four large cedar log posts were salvaged from a local tree removal company, while the rafters were salvaged from white pine logs and milled onsite. What’s most notable are the two large wall plates that Glenn was able to salvage from a 60-year-old tree his grandfather had planted. The repurposing of trees into structures has always been important to Glenn and to the legacy of The Gardens.

The Grindbygg inspired covered pergola is a beautiful structure and one of ten wood structures, like the Garden Pavilion, located throughout the venue.

While the material and the building process of the Grindbygg inspired pergola is interesting, it’s functionality as a one stop shop for couples to display their guestbook and gifts/cards that’s important. Not to mention, its covered roof provides protection from the sun’s rays and sometimes even a few stray raindrops for the items displayed underneath on a Mid-Height Table.

And let’s not forget the most important fact! The Grindbygg inspired covered pergola makes an amazing backdrop for photos!

If you’re interested in learning more about the construction process of the Grindbygg inspired covered pergola, check out the YouTube series.

The ambient lighting of The Garden’s reception space is a definite experience. From the glow of the lighting on of the Grindbygg inspired covered pergola and Garden Pavilion, to the natural light of a crackling fire, your reception space will feel warm and inviting.

The Grindbygg inspired covered pergola creates a perfect one-stop-shop for guests to sign the guestbook and drop off their card or gift. Bonus, since it’s covered, it also protects the important items displayed underneath. Photo by: Moore Photography

Renee & John’s Glorious Minnesota October Wedding

Real Wedding Spotlight: Picturesque Fall Garden Wedding with Gorgeous Flower Arrangements, Modern Rustic Reception Décor, and Stunning Autumn Views.

Renee and John’s love story started with poetry. They met during a Latin poetry class freshman year at the University of Minnesota in Rochester. Their friendship blossomed during a class trip to Greece and when they got back to Rochester, they decided that maybe there was a little more than friendship blooming. When things became even more serious, they adopted their adorable dog, Noodle, who isn’t one to say “No” to a hiking trail, neither do Renee and John. In fact, when they got engaged and first visited The Gardens of Castle Rock, they asked if there was a walking trail nearby and we were happy to point them in the direction of Whitetail Woods. They are adventurous, adorable, and aglow with love for each other.

Just introduced as Mr. & Mrs., John and Renee walk up the aisle to the cheers of their wedding guests in The Lath House. Photo by: Images by Nic

Saturday, October 8th of 2022 was a perfect fall day in Northfield, Minnesota for an outdoor wedding. As the sun came up and the morning dew began to clear, Renee and John’s family and friends began to arrive at The Gardens of Castle Rock. There was a definite air of excitement as Renee’s bridesmaids set-up in The Garden’s Suite for hair and makeup with LHN Beauty. After Renee stepped into her gorgeous gown from The Wedding Shoppe with help from her lovely mother, Renee enjoyed an emotional first look with her bridesmaids. Images by Nic was right there to capture these raw moments along with the couple’s wedding day details including Renee’s gorgeous ring from Filigree Jewelers. Meanwhile, John hung out with his wedding party and then took a quiet moment to open a gift from Renee outside of The Garden’s Cottage.

The morning set-up began when Renee and John’s phenomenal coordinator Heidi, with the Jenna Culley Events Team, arrived. There were lights to string, florals to be hung, and décor to be placed. Let’s go! Ultimate Events set to work hanging white chiffon draping and twinkle lights in the tent. They also strung black bistro lights throughout the reception patio space and along the walkway to the ceremony space. We have to admit that we couldn’t get enough of Wilderland Floral’s arrangements. The beautiful warm floral hues throughout Renee’s wedding bouquet and John’s boutonnière, The Lath House’s ceremony arch, and The Garden’s Reception Space were unbelievable. Renee and John’s Cedar Sweetheart Table was a floral wonderland and a definite highlight of the 2022 season.

Renee and John snuck away for a private first look in The Woods where they were later joined by their energetic wedding party. (Seriously, they were definite wedding party goals.) They looked amazing in the mixture of royal blue groomsmen suits by Bill’s Toggery and mixtures of red and orange toned bridesmaid dresses. The sun was just beginning it’s decent to the west when guests began to arrive for Renee and John’s wedding ceremony in The Lath House. As Renee and John exchanged kind and heartfelt vows, Leanne with Paint My Wedding Day was right there to capture the magic of their ceremony. We will never forget the joyful feeling that radiated throughout The Gardens as Renee and John were first announced as Mr. and Mrs. Brigham!

Their reception was filled with the cool sounds of a live jazz band, delicious food by Deco Catering, yummy drinks (from margaritas to warm apple cider) provided by Liquidmotion, mouth-watering desserts from Ganache Desserts and Confections, and a dance floor filled with laughter, singing, and dancing thanks to DJ Hunter Quinn. Renee and John even snuck away for sunset photos and some time to take in the moment as our Gardens staff fired up the woodfired pizza oven for some late night snacks. We are incredibly grateful to have been a part of Renee and John’s dream day!

Renee and John toured The Gardens of Castle Rock in January… Let’s just say The Lath House looked very different! R & J were able to see past the icicles that this was the perfect Outdoor Garden Ceremony location for them.

Check out this stunning nature themed wedding ceremony arch floral installation by Wilderland Floral.

The cedar benches look lovely in The Lath House, but if you need a front row for your immediate family and friends (or relatives that need back support), no problem!

The Fireplace at The Gardens is not only fun, but a great way to keep guests toasty warm for an Outdoor Wedding in October. With the added bistro lights by Ultimate Events, it was the perfect wedding guest hang out spot.

Unsolicited advice from this Minnesota Outdoor Wedding Venue: Laughter is the best medicine for wedding nerves… and the best way to remember the day forever. Also, have a great photographer like Images by Nic to capture the joy.

“[The Gardens of Castle Rock] was absolutely perfect for us and was the first and best decision we made planning our 120-person wedding. It was important to us while planning during COVID to have an outdoor venue and plenty of space for our guests… We had our ceremony in the Lath house, which was absolutely stunning in early October… The property had a lot of great spaces for photos, and everyone was raving about how beautiful it was. We wholeheartedly recommend The Gardens of Castle Rock and the amazing team!” ~ Renee and John Brigham

Emily & Casey’s Sunday Kind of Love: A Modern Vintage Wedding Theme

A Real Wedding Spotlight of a Sunday Wedding at The Gardens of Castle Rock

Sunday weddings are for tattoo stations, disco balls, and live bands… wait, what?

Love Keeps the Cold Out Better Than a Cloak – Anna Bradstreet

Let’s back up for just a minute. First, you need to know that Emily ventured out one chilly December night to support a friend who was playing in a band. Casey, the host of what they dubbed, “Bro-ing Up Christmas”, was also playing at this party. In true retro-movie fashion, their eyes met from across the room. It was love at first sight. They graduated college, adopted a couple cats, and decided they needed an adventure.

Met with sub-zero temps in Minneapolis in 2019, Emily and Casey started a new life together, and were engaged.

Draping, wisteria, and true love. Emily and Casey’s wedding day vision came to life! Photo by: Jojo Studios

It only made sense, then, that Emily and Casey were again met with a cold bite in the air when they first visited The Gardens of Castle Rock in May of 2021. Even so, there were stars in their eyes as they walked around the grounds. They snuggled up and talked about how to design each space at The Gardens to illustrate their fun, easy-going, “Sunday Kind of Love”.

The Perfect Ceremony

Fast forward to September 11th – their wedding day. Contrary to their previous important life events, there wasn’t a cold breeze to be felt nor a cloud in the sky. Their friends worked diligently cutting florals as Stargazer Designs hung disco balls, draping, and lights in the tent. Emily had spent months collecting vintage table decoration for each table and we believe it was well worth the months Casey endured walking a small path through their home.

Kisses half way up the aisle are a must!

Their wedding ceremony took place in the infamous Lath House. Silk wisteria and macramé created the retro-70s, bohemian vibe they had envisioned since the beginning. They exchanged powerful vows that had everyone laughing, tearing up, and laughing while tearing up. The lovely environment was only out-beatified by their love.

Emily and Casey’s Dream Concert

Casey enjoyed singing along to Mae Simpson and the band as he danced with his beautiful bride. Photo by: Jojo Studios

As you may have noticed, music is particularly important to Emily and Casey, so they carefully selected a line up of incredibly talented individuals that mattered to them! Marcus DeJesus started the evening with patio entertainment during cocktail hour, HoneyButter had everyone swaying to the music while eating wood-fired pizzas by Vesuvios, and Mae Simpson raised the roof for the rest of the night. If you think that Sunday weddings are just for brunches and early nights, Emily and Casey easily proved that theory wrong!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Check out these captures from Emily and Casey’s Sunday Wedding at The Gardens of Castle Rock.

As the sun crested over the just changing leaves of the maples in the woods, Emily and Casey started their day with yoga with family and friends.

Macramé and wisteria were the perfect combination for this vintage inspired wedding with bohemian vibes in The Lath House!

Emily and Casey embraced during their first look in The Lath House. It’s important to take your time during your first look! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to spend together.

These Terracotta pots filled with fall florals and displayed on a Garden’s Mid Height Table worked brilliantly as a seating chart for guests and were a hit!

This capture by JoJo Studios is giving off real vintage wedding vibes.

Your wedding day should tell your story! When they first met, Casey was happy to show off his tattoo’s to Emily. Thus, the tattoo station.

Kristen & Nick’s Relaxed Rustic October Wedding

Real Wedding Spotlight: Crisp October weather, peak Minnesotan foliage, and rustic wedding décor created the perfect setting for Kristen & Nick’s rustic outdoor wedding.

They Met

Years of travels and adventures led Kristen and Nick to each other… just not in the way you might think. After earning their respective college degrees, Nick headed to the coast and Kristen to France as they sought adventure and new experiences. It wasn’t long before they missed their family and friends, so they both moved back to Iowa in 2018 whereupon they met on a dating app! Their first date provided an instant connection and the rest is history. As their Knot profile acknowledges, “The world led them to each other at a perfect time in both of their lives”.

They Said “I Do”

Fast forward to October 23rd, 2021 and you’ll find a spectacular fall day. A warm, light breeze filled The Gardens of Castle Rock as Kristen and Nick were greeted by their friends and family with… “oh my gosh, you’re getting married!” We hear it time and time again… Once your first look happens, you blink and your whole day goes by in a flash! From their first look in The Vineyard, photos around the garden with Bellagala, to their ceremony in The Lath House, and a magical first dance in The Reception Tent, time seemed to be racing by as if it was trying to keep up with the changing fall foliage.

Kristen and her bridesmaids took to The Garden’s suite to get primped by Primped and vendors from all around set to work placing all of the special décor for their day. Meanwhile, Nick and his groomsmen arrived on site with lively energy after a fun round of poker games at The Fairfield Inn. Event planner and coordinator Bailey Bivolarvov started the initial décor set-up under the twinkle of Stargazer Design’s café lights delicately draped in the reception tent.

Nick and Kristen’s ceremony was stunning. Bright, warm sunrays and lovely fall foliage filled the ceremony space as they exchanged vows and said “I do” under a lovely cottage inspired floral display by Hyvee Floral. If you listened really closely, you could hear the birds tweeting in the tree above The Lath House and the crisp crackling of leaves below their guest’s dancing shoes.

They Partied the Night Away

To end an unforgettable evening, guests danced the night away to entertainment provided by Bellagala or snuggled up to The Garden’s Natural Stone Fireplace. With bellies full of substantial cuisine by Hyvee Catering, yummy drinks from Equal Parts Cocktail Company, and late night pizza made in The Garden’s very own Late Night Pizza Oven, we imagine guests will be talking about Kristen and Nick’s perfect fall wedding for many years to come.

Kristen and Nick’s cozy, fall themed head table was made up of The Rustic Refined™ hand-crafted tables, lovely wooden floral bouqets, candles, and pinecones scattered about a vibrant table runner.

More Highlights from Kristen & Nick’s Rustic Outdoor Wedding

Moments like these are why getting ready photos are so important! Photo By: Bellagala

The Grindbygg at The Gardens is such a cool, welcoming sight! Add personal touches like florals, draping, or light up signs and you’ll have yourself one epic wedding guestbook and gift collection station.

These satin, burnt orange high-top table linens took center stage in front of The Garden Pavilion for this modern rustic outdoor wedding.

Starter kit for a cozy reception space: Hand-crafted cedar banquet tables, a mixture of pillar candles, twinkling café lighting throughout the entire reception tent, and natural sunlight streaming in.

The Garden’s Original Rustic Refined™ head table was the perfect addition to Kristen and Nick’s Relaxed Fall Wedding Theme.

Who needs an aisle runner when you have natural fallen leaves to take you to your “I do”?

Kristen’s lovely fall bouquet was made of wood flowers but looked so real!

Kristen’s Madi Lane Bridal gown is a vision in this photo by Bellagala! The Wedding in the Woods ceremony location is perfect for couple’s photos!

Wedding guests cozied up on The Garden’s handcrafted cedar benches as they waited for the ceremony to begin in The Lath House at The Gardens.

It’s totally cliché to say, but these are the moments we live for. (But, is it cliché if it’s true?)

Want some unsolicited advice? Hug that person who walks you up the aisle. They’ll cherish that moment more than you’ll ever know.

Rustic fall wedding meets whimsical secret garden wedding ~ as perfect of a match as Kristen and Nick!

During the summer months, guests often welcome shade. In the fall months, the streaks of sunlight add just the right amount of warmth in The Lath House.

Bellagala snuck Kristen and Nick away for some quick couple’s portraits as the early setting fall sun went down on the horizon.

Pretty Floral Garden Wedding

Real Wedding Spotlight: Pretty floral arrangements combined with soft color hues created the most magical fairytale vibe for Leah & Spencer’s mid-September wedding day.

Enchanting, whimsical, gorgeous… Leah and Spencer’s pretty floral outdoor garden wedding has us yearning for warmer days ahead. Leah and Spencer laughed until they cried and cried until they laughed as they exchanged vows in the woods, cheered with their bridal party, and smooched in the vineyard. Family and friends were simply enchanted by their love and friendship all day.

The décor for the day suited Leah and Spencer’s hope for a pretty, elegant atmosphere. Classic draping, the stunning array of silk wisteria, and fresh rose arrangements adorned the Lath House’s ceremony space. Twinkle lights, chandeliers, and a lofted head table carried on these themes for an overall perfect day.

As their day turned to a sunset and the sunset turned to night, guests enjoyed late night pizzas from The Garden’s Pizza Oven, chatted by the fire, and danced the night away.

Leah and Spencer chose a lovely rose floral installation for The Lath House ceremonial archway.

Karen Feder Photography found this sweet yard pergola to be the perfect display for Leah’s playful and elegant a-line wedding dress. Photo Credit: Karen Feder Photography

Tah-Dah! Leah’s ladies were the perfect “hype crew” in The Garden’s Suite! Photo credit: Karen Feder Photography

The soft pink blush of The Garden’s sedums near the fireplace complimented the bridesmaid’s dusty pink gowns.

Vow exchanges in the woods are perfect for couples who want to keep their words private. These moments can get quite emotional, so hiring a photographer that captures the moment and respects your space is key. Photo Credit: Karen Feder Photography

Say “Cheese!”, Karen! (A little behind the scenes of what WE see…)

… This is what THEY see. Fun experience means fun wedding portraits. We love this sweet capture in front of The Lath House by Karen Feder Photography

This final squeeze in front of The Garden’s Suite before Leah walked down the aisle is so full of love and joy!

Leah and Spencer’s bridal party lined up in front of The Garden’s Reception Tent before they walked down the aisle to The Lath House.

Silk wisteria hung by Marah Cole Designs had guests “oohing and aahing” in The Lath House. Walking down the aisle under such a ethereal display to your happily ever after is a once in a lifetime feeling.

This is what an “oh-my-gosh-we’re-married” smooch looks like. Add in a dreamy ceremony location, roses, and a display of silk wisteria and you have pure wedding magic.

Blissfully happy, Leah and Spencer headed off into the setting sun to their wedding reception to party the night away.

“Leah & Spencer, party of 20, please!” Not a problem! Leah & Spencer’s multi-level head table feature emphasized their appreciation for all of the friends and family in their bridal party.

Sweet and simple draping + twinkle lights and chandeliers + delicate florals = A romantic reception tent atmosphere.

Leah and Spencer’s wedding day was FUN! Guests enjoyed spaces to explore and play lawn games during cocktail hour and well into the night.

Seriously Stunning September Wedding at The Gardens

Real Wedding Spotlight: A Perfect September Minnesota wedding

Do you remember…the 25th night of September? We sure do! And so do the guests of Eliza and Jacob who danced the night away to “September” by the one and only Earth, Wind, and Fire. And, just like a perfect song, we just wanted to keep hitting replay.

The day started off with a breeze in the trees as Eliza and Jacob exchanged tears and gifts with loved ones. The romantic vibes carried throughout the whole day from the blush-pink bridesmaid dresses to Eliza’s extravagant bouquet of roses. “Blue”, the family classic car, made a special appearance and added a fun vintage vibe to their bridal portraits. As Eliza and Jacob strolled the vineyard and gardens hand-in-hand, tears were shed for loved ones lost, but they also laughed ~ a lot ~ with each other, their friends and family. Guests quietly admired the combined beauty of soft draping against the natural canopy of the grapevines as they entered The Lath House, and then found themselves laughing out loud during a delightful exchange of vows.

As the sun set, the party was only beginning. Chandeliers and twinkle lights welcomed guests into The Gardens Reception Tent where there were toasts, donuts, champagne, and plenty of lively dancing. How does one possibly end such a perfect day? With a sparkler send off, of course!

Just around the corner, right around the bend, you’ll find where your journey starts, and where the love will never end. Love, The Lath House at The Gardens.

The Lath House was the perfect combination of natural and glam for Eliza & Jacob’s ceremony. Draping and floral designs only amplified the space among the already majestic climbing grapevines and falling leaves.

Eliza and her brother took some time for a first look and to exchange some very special gifts under The Grand Promenade.

We like to think of The Fireplace (and the open patio space in front of it) as an extension to The Cottage’s “getting ready” space… although we recommend putting your clothes on before heading to the fireplace… Photo Credit: Nicole and Co. Photography

What we see: Eliza & Jacob spent some time together in the vineyard as Mallory with Nicole and Co. Photography and Sage with Sage Yeager Films documented their beginning-of-the-day excitement!

What they see: A good photographer knows how to work the lighting while making you feel calm, cool, collected. What a fantastic shot by Nicole and Co. Photography!

If we all had someone that looked at us like Jacob looks at Eliza, the world would be a much better place. Love definitely grows at The Gardens. Photo Credit: Nicole and Co. Photography

The Grindbygg at The Gardens greets your guests with a *Big Grin*. (See what I did there?) It can be home to guestbooks, gifts, memory tables, or even photo-booths.

I spy with my little eye, the guy who made all of the ceremony benches… (If you guessed the strapping guy in a suit and red converse shoes, you’re correct! Bonus points if you know his name is Glenn. Extra points if you know he is our awesome venue owner!) Thank you Nicole and Co. Photography for this fun capture.

We love the ethereal feel of this photo by Nicole and Co. Photography. The Lath House provided the shade, the magical light, the natural vibes, but Eliza & Jacob brought the feels.

We want you to bring *your* color to The Garden’s. Eliza & Jacob brought along red mums for pops of color amongst their bouquets of roses.

The joy throughout The Lath House was contagious! It was truly a perfect day. Photo Credit: Nicole and Co. Photography

The bridal party caught up with Eliza and Jacob by The Suite and Garden Pavilion to hug and congratulate them … and to find a drink!

A quartet in front of The Garden’s Fireplace was the perfect addition to Eliza and Jacob’s cocktail hour. The sounds of their instruments helped create an incredible outdoor reception atmosphere.

The Garden’s Reception space is like no other. Mature trees, hand-hewn timbers, a fireplace made of natural stones, and hand-crafted pergolas make for a truly unique space.

Chandeliers, drapery, twinkle lights, oh my! We love the romantic vibes the soft white draping and lights are creating in The Garden’s Reception Tent. Simply lovely! Photo Credit: Nicole and Co. Photography

Jill & Dominic’s Super Fun Summer Garden Wedding at The Gardens

Real Wedding Spotlight: The lighthearted ceremony, competitive lawn games and packed dance floor made for a super fun wedding day for Jill & Dominic.

There is something about a warm sunny summer day that makes you smile, especially when that day is your wedding day. For Jill & Dominic, the day was both a celebration of their love for one another and a celebration of the love and support of their family and friends.

The tent’s white café lights with leafy branches all connected to a center statement piece of five golden droplet individual string lights hanging in the center of the tent. Using a soft rose color palette accented by golden undertones, tables were set with taper and votive candles amongst white, pink, and yellow wildflowers. The wedding party continued the look as bridesmaids’ donned subtle blush pink gowns with down sweep hair that was complimented by groomsmen in navy suits with crisp white dress shirts.

Once the ceremony concluded the champagne was popped, and the fun began as guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers as they engaged in conversation and began a little friendly competition in the form of lawn games. After a rousing grand march, emotional speeches and delicious meal, guests danced the night away to a live band.

Thanks to Carly Mac Photography for this gorgeous capture!

At the entrance of the tent and on the way to the fireplace, guests were able to easily access their table assignments.

Jill and Dominic had their guests (okay…and Garden’s of Castle Rock staff) drooling over their enchanting tent décor!

Recipe for a lovely reception space: The sweet twinkle of candles, the romance of flowers, and the friendliness of the outdoors just a breath away.

Carly Mac Photography captured this wonderful moment right before the first look that gives us all the feels.

The bridal party slowly makes their way to the Lath House. They’re ready to support Jill and Dominic now and forever.

Jill’s gorgeous lace train is fluffed as she gets ready to make her entrance.

Whimsical is one of our favorite adjectives of the Lath House at The Gardens of Castle Rock.

Don’t you just want to cheer looking at this picture?? Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs.!!!

On a gorgeous sunny day, the Garden Pavilion offers generous shade for the bar staff and guests looking for a sip.

We like to capture some photos of our own of each of our wonderful couples – this picture is one of our all time favorites from the season. You can just SEE the FUN!

It’s time for food, speeches, and to dance the night away.

Guests and groomsmen enjoy some lawn games – just another fun reason to have an outdoor wedding!

Carly Mac Photography captured this stunning image of the dessert table against a lovely atmospheric backdrop of The Fireplace. Who says desserts can’t make a statement?

Guests danced and danced and then danced some more under the twinkle lights.

As a cool dusk air settled on The Gardens of Castle Rock, the warm light of the tent made for an inviting scene.

Judy & William’s Art Deco Inspired Garden Wedding

Real Wedding Spotlight: An ethereal spring wedding full of delicate details and special moments.

Weddings days can be planned in different timeframes. Some are put together quickly in a manner of weeks. Others, take years to get everything just right. There are even those weddings that get a little more bonus time thanks to a little thing called COVID-19. Maybe you’ve heard of it…….

For Judy & William, COVID-19 threw them a curveball requiring them to postpone their wedding day for another year. When the day finally came these two hosted the most ethereal spring wedding celebration full of thoughtful details and sentimental touches while surrounded by an outpouring of love and support.

With the natural colors of spring all around, the couple chose to infuse romantic white styling with blush based floral arrangements and hanging greenery installations. With special touches throughout the day like the ceremony foot washing and capturing their ceremony and reception over time in the form of oil-based canvas paintings, Judy & William wedding day created the perfect mix of purposeful styling and deep meaning.

An ever inviting space, the Lath House at The Gardens of Castle Rock.

White crisp draping and floral installations on the Lath House arch creates a romantic “I Do” kind of vibe.

Curious as to what that gorgeous pink flowering tree is? It’s an Eastern Redbud. As much as we’d love for it to stay flowering for months, it typically has a 2-3 week window of thousands of tiny pink flowers before turning to green leaves.

Hanging greenery installations, geometric centerpieces and café lighting created an art deco ambiance in the wedding reception tent.

Situated in the center of the tent, the couple and wedding party are the center of attention. It’s their wedding day after all! Photo Credit: Dainty Meadow Photography

Celebratory wedding day cigars……it’s a guy thing!

The exquisite detailing of Judy’s wedding gown combined with the earth toned bridesmaid dresses contributed to the elegant wedding day atmosphere. Photo Credit: Dainty Meadow Photography

The wedding party is lined up and ready to go, but this little cutie just can’t keep his hands to himself! Can’t you just hear…..”I’m not touching you…..I’m not touching you!”

When you have this adorable team of flower girls and ring bearers, the job is going to get done!

Elegant detailing in the design of Judy’s Georgia Young Couture wedding dress was simply breath-taking as she steadied herself to walk down the aisle into the Lath House.

To have and to hold from this day forward, Judy & William promise themselves to each other.

It’s that moment when two people look into each other’s eyes and think, “I’ve found the love of my life!” Photo Credit: Dainty Meadows Photography

As a surprise wedding gift for the groom, the bride commissioned paintings of their wedding ceremony and reception by Paint My Wedding Day. What a treasured gift!

To demonstrate their love & humility, Judy & William chose to perform a feet washing ritual during their wedding ceremony.

Hand written vows are personal, heart-felt and let’s be honest, oftentimes funny! Isn’t love grand!?!

These are the moments that make life worth living! Photo Credit: Dainty Meadow Photography

With an opening catering policy, couples are able to choose the cuisine for their wedding day. Judy & William chose a have their first meal as husband and wife catered by BonXai Catering.

Best wishes and congratulatory speeches by family and friends can bring a tear or a smile, so always be ready with a few tissues.

You have our permission to drool over Judy & William’s Cafe Latte wedding cake. Don’t worry we already did!

Donuts have become an anytime food and we are so okay with that, especially donuts from Yoyo Donuts!
