The Vineyard at The Gardens

Love grows at The Gardens…and we put a little bit of that love in every bottle.

Welcome to Wayward Hills, a Minnesota vineyard and farm winery at The Gardens of Castle Rock.

After four years of carefully tending our vines, we’ve taken the natural next step…..crafting exceptional wine.

Introducing our first vintage of three wines: Dry Rosé, La Crescent, and Red Blend.

This Launch Collection is now available for tasting and purchase.

The Launch Collection

Dry Rosé

Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc, La Crescent & Crimson Pearl

Profile: Cool climate Washington State Sauvignon Blanc brings lively flavors of lime, grapefruit, and gravelly minerals with vibrant acidity.  While the Minnesota cold climate La Crescent adds a bit of tropical fruit to the palate, the Crimson Pearl grown at The Gardens of Castle Rock adds a splash of color.

Dry Rosé

Grapes: La Crescent

Profile: A Minnesota cold climate grape which delivers intense aromas of white flowers, peach and tropical fruits with a hint of lemon to compliment the balanced acidity and freshness.

Dry Rosé

Grapes: Shiraz/Syrah & Crimson Pearl

Profile: Even though Shiraz and Syrah are the same grape – their names signify the difference on how they are grown. Shiraz brings big bold fruit profiles of ripe fruit and spice. Syrah has a softer balance of dark fruit, blackberry and pepper. Blended with the Minnesota cold climate Crimson Pearl grapes grown onsite at The Gardens of Castle Rock add a lively hint of dried cherry and almond to round out the tannin and subtle acidity.
